This morning our 8th graders staged a peaceful protest outside Mrs. Smith's office. This is a long lived tradition that Mrs. Clay uses to teach our students how to communicate, advocate for themselves, and how to make positive changes in their lives. How many of our graduates remember what your class's demands were?

Our 3rd graders finished learning about knights and King Arthur and the knights of the round table. They made their round table and had their names in gold on our chairs, with William being “perilous” like in the book. They each made a coat of arms to identify themselves. They made the oath of a knight and read through the code of Chivalry. Then they were were knighted with the words “In the name of Our Lady, of the Patron Saint, St. Michael and St. George, I dub thee knight; be brave, bold, and loyal” What a great lesson for our students!

Our incredible 3rd graders created face cloths that resembled the cloth that Veronica wiped the face of Jesus. They have learned that this is also the 6th station of the cross.

We love to celebrate how God created us all different, but we are all created in His image. Kennedy is star of the week this week and she wanted to share what she needs to do daily to take care of herself since she has cystic fibrosis. It is inspiring!
